NMV was referred to us from Barnet Homes. She had lost her job and fell out with her family friend where she was staying. NMV was facing a number of challenges in her life including a family breakup and medical condition. She suffers from hypothyroidism which requires her taking medications daily and attending regular health checks and blood tests which all became overwhelming for her. She Lacked motivation and suffered with low moods.

When she joined KickStart Homes she knew she wanted to better her life but had no idea and required directions and clear goals. Within weeks of supporting NMV we helped her to update her CV and look for an apprenticeship. NMV gradually become more motivated to carry out daily tasks. After a few months we found a work placement with Wilmot Dixon, a large UK construction organization. NMV now feels more in control of her life and has settled into a number of supportive structures including her local Church.

Her goal has always been to have her own house, a car, and a job where she is happy. Currently, has built a career path networking with big firms. She has decided to take up a career in construction and has successfully completed her construction course and now has a CSCS card.

NMV has successfully found employment with O’Neill & Brannan a construction organisation as a Shadow Logistics Manager and her next aim is to save up money and move into independent living. She has also started the process of getting her driving license.

NMV has been a role model in her accommodation and has built a good relationship with the other residents.

NMV is now excited about what the future holds for her
